RD Report

We see a huge conclusion to the week in digital art. Dive into the line items. Every category shines!

Botto x Verse has been a smashing success, riding polarizing debate to a fantastic outcome. Detractors are predictable and understandably come from experienced artists looking at art through a solely qualitative lens. I get it. When it comes to the art economy, that is but one variable. Narrative and fostering a network around the art are of equal importance. There is merit there too.

The auction houses can do so much better, simply for their bottom lines. It is inexplicable to have a Ringers estimate set at 30-50k. It is inexplicable to have three separate Squiggles - Pipe, Bold, and Fuzzy - offered without any reference or context to the traits themselves. I can go on, but you get the point.

Today Reported:
Sales thresholds of 3 ETH+ Collection, 0.25 ETH+ 1/1, 0.7 ETH+ 1/1/X, and 0.25 ETH+ Edition artworks

Under Threshold...
...but interesting to me is a 'FRATZE' 1/1/51 by Kim Asendorf selling for 1.4k XTZ | $1,072 USD.

ART Safari aka "The Elephant".

The 58th design is a play on Botto's Prismatic Safari, which has been called "The Giraffe". Justin Wetch dug into the p5.js code to rearrange some things, giving the elephant (and of course, the ART) a day in the safari sun.
