Via Artwork Description: "Minted on Inauguration Day 1/20/2025, never before has a sitting president aligned with Bitcoin and crypto overall the way Trump has done through a variety of drops across multiple chains... Will Trump follow through with his campaign promises? Time will tell."
The Met Mints
The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met) is onchain!
It partners with TRLab, Coinbase (Base), and Moonpay to launch 'Art Links', a blockchain based art history and connections game.
The initial rollout spans 12 weeks and features a sequence of badges and achievements that convey NFTs and connections to rewards.
Via Matt Zhang: "So proud of Audrey Ou and the entire team of TRLab to build and launch the first-of-its-kind NFT project for one of the largest and best museums in the world. Way to go!!"
Eko Exploration
'Urban Anatomy' by Eko33 sells for 20,000 USDC to Seedphrase, facilitated by ARTXCODE, Toni Marinara, and Micol.
A new chapter begins in the "neural geometry" practice of Eko33 with this 1/1 work that evaluates altered consciousness.
Primary (Artist Website) - 'PXL DEX' by Kim Asendorf: 252/256 minted via Allowlist, list: 7.1 ETH
Primary (Fellowship) - 'Empire' by Sheldrick: 1/1/500 collection sees 171 sales for 10.37 ETH volume in 24h, total volume 36.22 ETH, sellout confirmed with final works in countdown
Primary (Foundation) - 'FAMILY VALUES' by Vikki Bardot: 1/1/125 collection: sellout confirmed with final 11 works in countdown
It may not go viral in the way that financial speculation sometimes does, but make no mistake about the impact of The Met embracing the blockchain and building with TRLab.
There is always a question of "does the experiment stick?" and it's impossible to know the answer. The more positive experiments, the more likely it is that one does. As far as chain adoption goes, slowly and then all at once.
