'Empire' by Sheldrick goes live with Fellowship and sees 58 Allowlist sales for 9.15 ETH total.
The 1/1/500 Collection opens to Public access today at 12:00pm ET, with 55 of the artworks curated for auction.
Via the Fellowship website, the concept "explores how photographs preserve and reshape our view of the past by transforming over 35,000 color film slides from 1940 to 1990 into layered compositions through restoration and AI. These slides, capturing personal milestones and historic moments, are reimagined to connect the past with the present, inviting reflection on how images shape our collective memory and link us to history."
'Light Years' 1/1/100 by Dmitri Cherniak sees 5 sales for 40.31 ETH (avg: 8.06 ETH) to Hivemind's Digital Culture Fund.
It add these to a December acquisition for 6.25 WETH to become the top collection holder.
Via Hivemind:
"We are thrilled to announce the acquisition of six unique pieces from Dmitri Cherniak’s Light Years collection, further enhancing the generative art chapter within our collection. Having long admired the vision behind Cherniak’s Light Years, we’re proud to bring these exceptional works into our collection, further cementing our dedication to the evolution of generative art."
Created in November 2022, the Cherniak collection was released alongside Fellowship in partnership with The Estate of László Moholy-Nagy.
Wednesday, January 22:
'The Scream' by Asprey Studio via Trio: 122 inscribed editions at $450 each, includes artworks from OSF, Harto, and Beverly Kills
Wednesday, January 22:
'Pepe: Instructions Not Clear' by Capi with The Memes by 6529: up to 329 editions available at 0.06529 ETH each
The wait for the final PXL DEX sale is intense. In a sense, it feels appropriate for a patient, all-in, artist controlled release.
Eyes on Fellowship and Sheldrick today as Empire goes public. There have been fairly quiet multi-ETH sales for Sheldrick scattered across the last few months. This release doesn't have the hype machine behind it at the moment, but in theory it is a breakout candidate.
Today Reported:
Sales thresholds of (USD) $10k+ Collection, $1k+ 1/1, $2.5k+ 1/1/X, and $1k+ Edition artworks
Under threshold but interesting to me is 'Trapped JPEGs' by Noper seeing 6 sales to a single wallet. The originally free 1/1/500 collection released with Flamingo DAO now has a 0.25 ETH list and has been prone to these kinds of bursts.
The twentieth ART of 2025 pays tribute to Alpha Centauri Kid's all-time high Broken Keys sale, placing ART in a 3D scene, and then giving it the Blue Flame cyanotope treatment to homage Justin Aversano's journey in pairing his rare variants with Twin Flames counterparts.
