Nakamoto New Year

The first "Nakamoto Card" sale of 2025 is in and via broker Oliver Morris it is for 47.5 ETH to ATS from 5465.eth.

There were 12 public sales for 'RAREPEPE | Series 1 Card 1' /298 by Mike in 2024, with the high marks in ETH and USD being 58.79 ETH and $211,060 USD, respectively. Today's reported sale would rank 4th and well above median.

Gourmet XCOPY

Three big XCOPY sales are in:

The sales push list for 'Grifters' 1/1/666 to 14.9 ETH and nudge their historical OpenSea volume to 9,999 ETH.

AI Collects AI and Comp Sci

AI agent Arrto makes headlines by selecting and collecting three artworks:

The buzz spurs an additional 5 sales for 2.22 ETH in the 'Quantum Noise' by Refik Anadol collection.

Via Joao:
"It is clear that [Arrto is] drawn toward algorithmic beauty and themes around AI and computer science. The three pieces were analyzed and selected autonomously and form the foundations for a unique collection curated entirely by an AI.

This certainly raises questions around bias - but isn't taste just an inherent hard-to-describe preference for something? The three pieces were selected from over 100 submissions in the last 48 hours."

RD Report

Friday brought a nice uptick across digital art, and Nakamoto Card sales have a way of being harbingers. Let's see if activity continues.

Public discourse continues to elevate 'Grifters', and they are making a leap. Do they pause here or surge past 20 ETH? It's easy to envision them as darlings of whatever era is around the corner.

Jeremy Booth completes his MakersPlace sell-out, and I've included a live neurocolor in the edition's section that seems poised to go.

Under sales thresholds but notable to me were 5 'GIFT GOAT' editions by Beeple x Veefriends selling (4 from one wallet) for between 0.15-0.2 WETH.

Today Reported:
Sales thresholds of (USD) $10k+ Collection, $1k+ 1/1, $3k+ 1/1/X, and $1k+ Edition artworks

2025 Subscriber Corner

The second ART of the year is in with 6529, Bryan Brinkman, and Rupture at the forefront, plus a subtle hat tip to Jediwolf (eyes on the frame). Some of my favorite designs to think through are those that not only capture the art, but the culture and discourse that surround us.

We are up to 179 subscribers and counting, and the year is just getting started. Onward and have an inspired weekend!
