Art Market Highlights

Checks Out:
“pvp vs. vv” says Jack Butcher. CheckStrategy token launches with custom contract innovations, recycling pooled ETH fees into buying Checks back from the protocol. The two main Checks collections see more than 800 ETH in volume surrounding the launch.
Meanwhile TokenWorks and NFTStrategy creator Rhynotic says “Realized I was Check-less myself and had to change that”, acquiring Single ‘Checks 6661’ for 19.75 ETH from OperaMagna.
Surveilling Shannon:
‘Replacement Character’ by Luke Shannon opens at Heft Gallery and unveils a multi-layered collection evaluating surveillance and selfhood through the lens of a custom plotter-scanner. The 40 still image (digital + physical print) component of the collection sells out for $2,000 USD each, with animated works still available.
Flowers for Jules:
Artist Jules sees simultaneous highlights. His new edition ‘back to blue’ goes live with AOTM Gallery for sales at 0.69 ETH, with 9 out of 10 acquired thus far. ‘Flower #39’ - part of his 2022 released 1/1/50 ‘The Flowers Project’ - first sells for 5 WETH before finding a home with Benji’s PellaCollection for 6 ETH. Benji reflects on a core question posed by Jules within the dynamic Flowers: “What is value? Most systems treat a drop in price as failure, here it is transformation."
