The day’s top sale is ‘Popular Nobody’ by Sam Spratt for 9 WETH to 33, brokered by Eli Scheinman via Gondi.

The dark, striking ‘Mask of Luci’ is one of twenty-one with Ebony Material in the 613 artwork collection.

Each Mask was finalized and named after three stages of participatory gameplay in the Masquerade. A three line observation left by the original owner clues us into why the artist chose “Nobody”:

“I am nothing.
I am no one.
I don’t belong here.”

Why “Popular”? That observation received 13 replies from others in the interactive phase, one of the highest totals in the game.

‘Weight for Me’ by DK sells for 3 ETH to Mary Pat, continuing a strong stretch of 1/1 placements for the artist.

It is one in a collection of 7 debuted in Marfa, Texas and released with Transient Labs. Five have been sold, with others going to the collections of Derek Edwards, Durtis, Grayduck and Sathaxe.
