Beeple Banana Zone:

“This meme of a meme simply had to be mine… obviously.”

REAL ART’ by Beeple sells for $200,600 USD to The Culture Vault of Raoul Pal. He thanks curated auction platform Fair Warning for a “wonderfully smooth auction experience”, as well as his “gorgeous Blonde accomplice”. Beeple follows up: “is that a banana in your wallet or are you happy to see digital art crushing?”

The 1/1 artwork is Beeple Everyday #5195, originally created on July 27, 2021 with the description “building the biggest joke ever made.” It was later minted in June 2022 and acquired by Oysterfarmer.

Quine-tessential Closing:

The final Art Blocks Curated release counts down. All eyes are on ‘Quine’ by Larva Labs ahead of a 12:00pm ET ranked auction conclusion (no time extensions!) Over 1,200 bids have been placed for 477 (of 497) available artworks, with the lowest winning bid now over 2.5 ETH and counting. 25% of proceeds are slated for donation to NODE Foundation.

Institutional Enchantment:

The collection of Austria’s Francisco Carolinum Linz Museum welcomes ‘The Enchanted Hour’ by Ryan Koopmans and Alice Wexell. The dynamic artwork, developed with Transient Labs, synchronizes to the viewer’s location and transitions between day and night. OÖ Kultur comments: “the work reflects how blockchain-based art can connect echoes of the past with the possibilities of a technological future.”
