Art Market Highlights

Squiggle Sweep:
Chromie Squiggle’ by Snowfro sees 12 sales for 35.76 ETH, pushing the Art Blocks collection list to 3.4 ETH. OpenSea is responsible for 10, acquiring the Squiggles for distribution in their Wave 2 Rewards Pool.

Early Grant Yun:
Grant Yun leads the day in 1-of-1 art as ‘The Pill 2’ sells for 6 WETH to NorCal-and-Klutch.

The artwork is one of seven ‘Grant Riven Yun Early Works’, each created at the beginning of Yun’s digital art career from 2016-17. The works were created with Microsoft PowerPoint. Yun attributes the development of his style to the “necessity and limitations of the software”.

Via Klutch:
“I have been dreaming of this moment since I failed to acquire the Cow in the spring of 2022 which I very easily could have had I think. I was way less confident in my personal taste back then and thought it was unlike most of Grants work, maybe I should collect something more classical by him. That lesson has stuck with me ever since. If a great artist makes a one off from their normal style and if you absolutely love it, go for it 100 times out of 100.”

Burn Complete:
The Quiet Burn’ by Reuben Wu concludes a three day open edition window, seeing 152 mints for 100 XTZ each and 15,200 XTZ in total. The artwork, part of the ‘Scenes’ Artverse curation, is a looping 23-second animation depicting a non-linear timelapse from day to night.
