Art Basel Hong Kong Highlights

Highlights continue from Art Basel Hong Kong:

Not only has open edition ‘Mirror Stages: Seed’ by Botto seen 270 mints with Botto DAO and OpenSea, it has now been added to the OpenSea Flagship Collection. They recap: “The seed image serves as the aesthetic cornerstone of each [of 20 works in the Mirror Stages installation], which is then generatively transformed during live two-hour sessions — shaped by Botto's archive and the audience's real-time presence.” OpenSea acquires the edition on the heels of another Flagship addition: ‘X0X558’ by Kim Asendorf.

Alastair Walker of Asprey Studio reports several acquisitions. Day One saw a Tim Yip sculpture and Qu Leilei ink work sell for a combined $80,000 USD. Yesterday another Leilei work followed for $35,000 USD, along with several AI editions at $200 USD each. Via Walker: “The AI editions are popular with young collectors who are fascinated by the technology.”

bitforms gallery reports the sellout of both exhibited generative sculptures by Daniel Canogar “to a prominent museum in Bangkok and… to HK private collection”.

BITMON Hong Kong’ by Des Lucrece with Iconic and OpenSea amends overall edition count to 250 and swiftly sells out at 0.094 ETH each. The digital and physical combinations presented in foil packs have now seen 10.06 ETH in volume.
