Rekt Sea

Probably one of my favourite 1/1s has ended up at a great home!” says OSF.

It is ‘Rekt in the Storm on the Sea of Galilee’ heading to the OpenSea Flagship Collection, alongside ‘rektguy #8573’. It is the fourth 1-of-1 artwork minted to the ‘OSF’s Single Malt’ collection.

In the words of OpenSea: “two pieces… that tell the story of wins, losses, culture, and survival”.

RD Report

6969capital exited a second consecutive Autoglyph and Jediwolf’s overeXposed collection was there to grab it for 44 ETH or roughly $129,000 USD, after it swiftly cycled through a flipping wallet (40.52 WETH → 44 ETH). This particular Autoglyph was acquired in September at 93 ETH or roughly $400,00 USD, and it gives you an idea of the art market’s trajectory in the 5 months since.

Typically secondary market informs primary market in a lagging, general sense, and we’re seeing that take effect. Primary releases have been slow to start the year.

Looking for a feel good signal? Look no further than today’s 1-of-1 section and continued appreciation for artist and photographer Intrepid. I used it as a nudge to dive into more of his work, including the story of high sale ‘Steve’.

Here’s a good bit of reading for the day: Micky Malka & Becky Kleiner on the Birth of NODE by Peter Bauman via LeRandom. The opening is just days away…
