Art Market Highlights

Ringers’ 1/1/1k by Dmitri Cherniak sees two additional sales after three yesterday. They are for $18,750 and $18,750 USDC and again to collector Lasagne_, facilitated by Oliver Morris via Gondi.

What Cities Hold’ by SIGMA-X completes a 350 artwork collection sellout with 8NAP Art, concluding its Public phase at 0.029 ETH each.

The collection depicts seven cities, each with multiple editions and a single 1/1 work. From its description: “This collection asks us to look closer, to see beyond the obvious, and to recognize that what cities truly hold is us-in all our searching, building, remembering, and connecting.”

Two not-often-seen Osinachi editions are acquired, from consecutive Nifty Gateway releases in 2020:

RD Report

Another slower paced, qualitative release completes a sellout in ‘What Cities Hold’ by SIGMA-X. These are good signals for art. They sit outside the top market tier, are distributed across many owners (in this case: 108), and invite discourse and discovery. We saw the same with ‘Pendulums’ by Ben Strauss (146 owners), which has been doing quite well on secondary.

This is the week. The date is 2/4, because of course.

We kick off a two-week rollout of a Pantheon and Annual we’ve been working on for quite some time.

This represents a significant 3rd step for 24 Hours of Art: first a daily source of market truth, then weekly content avenues (The DAM Show and Weekly Dose of Art) that expand context and storytelling, and now annual avenues that assess the history of tokenized digital art and catalog its most recent year.

Build what you wish you see. I can’t wait to show you our version of this.
