‘The Artist Is Absent’ by Kevin Esherick opens a month-long solo show at Heft Gallery in New York City, and with it comes two bodies of work by the artist.

First up is ‘Ablation Studies’, and it sees 15 of a 36 work collection acquired so far for $1,500 USD each across collectors including delronde.eth, mithrandir, ScrappyT, and wapshoptrade.eth.

Within the collection, Esherick reflects on “the impact of artificial intelligence on art and image-making culture”. In the artist’s words: “Ablation Studies continues the latent painting work I began in 2023 and first shared with In Utero in 2024, then again with I'm With You later on that year.”

‘Overseer — Office Ladies: Rituals of Overflow’ by Emi Kusano is acquired by Arab Bank for 3,000 XTZ ($1,206 USD). It is one of three ‘Office Ladies: Rituals of Overflow’ included in the recent ‘Scenes’ Artverse Gallery Exhibition at Paris Photo.

‘Archangel II’ by Martín Bruce is live in auction with Fakewhale Gallery, part of their ongoing ‘ART MARKET’ Exhibition. The top bid is currently 550 XTZ with famtez, and the auction concludes at 12:24pm ET.

‘Memory Scans’ by Violet Bond arrives today at 12:00pm ET on objkt. The 35 artwork collection is constructed via collage and scanography techniques, with organic matter at the heart of it. As the artist’s bio reads: “The dangerous veil between life and death is where you will find the visual world of artist Violet Bond.”

Reylarsdam’s ‘Class of 2025’ artwork blew me away yesterday. First, it is a fun Where’s Waldo? style exercise worth zooming around. Second, the artist is building quite a legacy in depicting the space, each year expanding its scope. While I’m unsure how much more expansion he is capable of (1,615 is immense) the journey is appreciated.

Travel day today, followed by a closing burst on this Annual exercise. Target is Tuesday. In the spirit of Rey above, it takes a lot to do a year around here justice! Whether you frame it in dog years or by different math, one thing is for sure: 1 year requires a multiplier.
