Art Market Highlights
Two edition sales and two primary collection conclusions lead the day:
‘GIGACHAD’ by Beeple sells for 31.99 ETH ($67,307 USD) to an anonymous collector. It is the second sale in 2026 for the edition of 100, originally minted in April 2021.
‘RAREPEPE | Series 1 Card 1’ - The Nakamoto Card - by Mike sells for 26.9 ETH ($56,597 USD) to Golden Dickbutt. “There was always one more I needed to get… Arguably the most iconic item in the NFT art/collectible world,” said the collector.
On-chain generative collection ‘NOKORI’ by Andrew Mitchell mints out 400 artworks for 19.6 ETH in total. Collectors now have two weeks to play and shuffle their artworks before they lock into final form. “A labor of love for the last 2 years” shares the artist via an explainer.
‘/backflip’ by Nikita Diakur completes its 55 artwork collection sellout for 6.948 ETH in total. The documentary style collection tracks the artist’s avatar learning to backflip. Release partner Fellowship congratulates Diakur and expresses appreciation for “taking the chance to release such a conceptual and exploratory project with us in one of the most difficult moments for our space”.

The updated tally for contributions to the Batsoupyum x Lanett Bennett Grant initiative is now $567,000 USD and counting, plus many alternative offerings and artworks in progress.
Consider something. The bulk of attention and capital is likely to go to 1-of-1 artworks. As we’ve discussed plenty before, that is precisely the art market category that slows down most during market uncertainty. That’s thrilling. It will be fun to watch and foster discussions around what ensues.
Notably, there are many taking action in their own ways, shapes, and forms. While there are too many to name individually, artist Darkfarms was a standout for me these past 24 hours, collecting several interesting artworks, including one that is an Artwork of the Day today (by artist time).
